I looked for these boots soon after studying the evaluations right here and on some other web-sites and I have to say, I cherished the way they felt the moment I laced them up. They are quite comfy, with outstanding support as a result of the arches. I normally use superfeet in all my hiking and backpacking boots but I haven't had to use them with these boots. They are warm, without having becoming sweaty. They have excellent traction, even on damp terrain. From Denali Park AK to Yosemite CA, hiking in the mountains or walking along a park trail, these are wonderful. The only caution I would give those in search of a very good pair of mid-weight boots, is that these operate truly tiny. I commonly wear a seven to a 7 1/two and I had to obtain an eight one/two in these. All Keen's seem to be the similar even though, my Keen sandals are also a full dimensions larger than other brands.

PROS:I reside in Denver, Colorado and do day hikes on the trails in the Front Range location. The trail ailments fluctuate considerably, from snow packed, then mud lined, then to a rocky dust bowl. These boots have held up great, they had been cozy from the start and essential no breaking in. Getting water resistant and not waterproof has not been an matter. I have crossed creeks with no difficulties. The laces do occasionally arrive untied, but they nonetheless keep restricted which is good. I logged 65 miles of day hikes over the span of seven months and have had no pain. I would think about them 3+ year boots as I wore them for the initially time snowshoeing and did not have cold or wet ft.CONS?They surely make your ft sizzling. I didn't necessarily notice that my ft had been very hot whilst hiking, but immediately after hiking when I would get again to the car or truck and transform into sandals, I would come across that my socks have been soaked through. This could be a con if the shoes don't match you as you could get blisters.

I bought these after studying a number of critiques and I have not been dissatisfied for even a moment! Out of the box, I took them on a hiking trip to the GA mountains. Soon after 22 miles, numerous stream crossings, and 4-6 inches of snow, I had dry cozy feet and no soreness in any respect. I had a pair of North Experience prior to this and I just could not break them in even following 10+ miles. I constantly had sores all around my ankles from the rubbing (a complete waste of [$]!). I do not know why a handful of of the other reviewers talked about their feet obtaining moist. So lengthy as I held any drinking water from overflowing the boot, the Keen Dry seemed to operate flawlessly. The other genuinely neat feature is the locking eyelets. I really did not even study this in the item description so it was a reward to me. No for a longer time do I have to struggle with tightening my boots only to have the laces loosen while I am attempting to tie them. The eyelets in fact 'lock' the lace in place to enable you to tie them up. Incredibly Neat!I am also lively as a Lookup and Rescue K-9 volunteer and so much they have held up well to woods, h2o, mud, situations with no problems.Hope this helps!

I have had these boots for virtually two many years and currently they decided to die by tearing apart at the seams. I'm so quite sad I am running out to get a new pair initially thing in the morning as I just do not know what I will do without them. I do a whole lot of day hiking in mostly moderate PA terrain but these men have hit trails of all varieties all above the country. I figure I have put in a great one thousand miles on them so I will share what I know:The Good-Just so darn comfortable out of the box. My closet is crammed with boots that I purchased that I believed I could break in but it just never ever seemed to function out. I have never ever, actually, had a blister from these boots. On super lengthy day hikes, the moment your feet start off inflammation, I've under no circumstances felt that painful toe pinch that all my other boots have offered me. They just match so effectively. They do operate tiny so obtain one/two to a full dimensions bigger than regular.-The traction is wonderful. You will fall more than from losing your equilibrium extended before this boot let's go. These boots walk the fine line in between good support and overall flexibility to do climbing or operating when you need to have too. Just a great multipurpose boot.-The laces remain taunt even when untied. I come across this to be a big deal because occasionally yes, you know you laces are untied but you just can't deal with it at the moment for some cause. With these boots you could primarily do a whole hike with your laces untied.The Mediocre-Waterproofing. This is a pro and con. The waterproofing was wonderful the 1st six to eight months then it just steadily declined until finally it was gone. I had to get started dealing with the boots every couple of months to keep them remotely water resistant. I've never had a pair of lightweight boots that held their waterproofing so this is to be expected.-They died. I've in no way worn a pair of boots so extended they died. From what I've read 1000 miles is about correct but nonetheless I was shocked. That getting mentioned, for the value, and the numerous pleased miles I will be buying them once again.

I am usually fearful to attempt new hiking shoes, I have endured from an ingrown townail. I really like to hike, and I do demanding trails and I am pretty wild. This cute Targhee kept my ft full of energy, dry and cozy. I was initially scared, but following I tested the traction, it was tempting just leap on the steep rocks! Yet another great shoe by Eager, I already have their sandal that I use in the Tropical Jungles.. the brilliant design and style in the front keeps your toes from acquiring damage. I obtained a ton of compliments also, it’s adorable and still rugged!
